Burmatex Osaka features a comprehensive design inspired by the dynamic and traditional elements of Japan, showcasing the contrasts of the region, such as the interplay between the new and the old, warmth and coolness, as well as urban and natural environments.
Weighing 695g, it is crafted from Universal Fibers innovative Thrive matter yarn, recognized as the first carbon-negative recycled yarn globally. This, along with Burmatex's distinctive BioBase recycled backing, ensures that Osaka is carbon neutral.
The design of Osaka carpet tile draws initial inspiration from a map of Osaka, presenting a geometric yet organic aesthetic that evokes the art of origami. The pattern of Osaka can be observed in both bustling urban landscapes and serene natural settings, reflecting the essence of the environment.
The updated color palette consists of 12 shades, including trendy luminous pastels like gingko, chiru, and kawa, a vibrant red named hanabi, calming blues such as kori and sora, and a new warm hue called hikari, while retaining popular core greys and beiges like mochi, arashi, sesame, and sumi.
The abstract design, combined with the refreshed color selection, creates a balance of softness and strength, making it suitable for contemporary interior spaces. Osaka is part of our multilevel loop pile collection and pairs well with Alaska, Balance Scale, and Origin ranges from Burmatex.
